Spirit Fitness has making treadmills for over 20 years. They have always been known as offering a very good product at a great price. Within the past couple years, they have loaded their treadmills with features of all sorts. All of their treadmills include speakers, fans, contact heart rate, wireless heart, programs, built in speed and elevation switches into their grips, quick touch speeds, and quick touch elevations. All of their home treadmills also fold for storage. With all the features that their treadmills offer, the reputation of Spirit as a treadmill manufacturer, and their extremely aggressive warranty, we are proud to offer Spirit treadmills.

The three treadmills we stock from Spirit Fitness are the XT-175, XT-275, and the XT-475. The XT-175 is their least expensive model and the XT-475 is their most expensive model. The XT-175 treadmill is encouraged for a single person user that will just use the machine for walking purposes. The XT-275 offers a few upgrades from the 175. The main reason someone would invest into the 275 is that it offers a longer walking surface and the warranty is extended to 10 years on all of the parts of the treadmill. Our intentions of bringing in the XT-475 treadmill is for someone that wants to run but needs the machine to fold. The 475 treadmill is a very robust machine offering a 10 year parts warranty.

XT-175 Treadmill
The Spirit XT175 treadmill is the lowest-end model of the XT series and the least expensive. Nevertheless, it is a quality treadmill and perfect for walkers who don’t want to spend a fortune on fitness equipment.

Because it is a lower-end model, the XT175 is made of somewhat lighter-weight materials than the more expensive models. It has a slightly smaller walking surface, and its parts are not quite as high quality as the higher-end Spirit treadmills.

The lighter weight means that the Spirit XT175 is a little less sturdy than the heavier machines. But, for walkers, this model is plenty stable and durable. The smaller active surface isn’t really suitable for tall users, but it’s a comfortable size for people of average or short stature. Also, the smaller size makes this unit more practical for people who have limited space.

For a budget treadmill, the XT175 is loaded with some decent features, similar or identical to those found on the more expensive Spirit treadmills.
  • Folding deck with “Soft-Drop” assist—“Soft-Drop” assist lowers the deck gently to prevent damage to floors and furniture. This is a nice feature to have in homes with small children, as it reduces the risk of injury caused by a lowering deck.
  • Cooling fans in the console—Great feature to have on any treadmill! The fans send a cool breeze towards the user’s body, making workouts more comfortable.
  • Frame built of commercial grade steel—Steel is strong and durable. The heavy weight of steel keeps the treadmill stable during workouts.
  • 2.5 HP continuous duty motor—The motor is plenty powerful to drive the machine through brisk walks and perhaps an occasional light, easy jog. However, runners and households with multiple users would do better with a treadmill that has a more powerful motor.
  • Built-in speakers and jack for MP3, CD, or radio—Even on this lower-end treadmill model, you can enjoy your favorite music as you exercise! What a nice way to jazz up those workouts!
  • 20” x 50” walking surface—This is a smaller than average size treadbelt…and is shorter than those found on the more expensive Spirit models. This one is best suited for users with a shorter stride who are not too tall. The size of the treadbelt is a drawback on this model.
  • 6 built-in programs and 2 custom programs—Choose from a variety of workouts to challenge your body and keep exercise sessions interesting.
  • Active buttons—Membrane-type “quick-key” buttons make it easy to adjust your speed and incline levels, without having to stop your workout.

XT-275 Treadmill
With a 10-year parts warranty and an affordable price, the Spirit XT275 treadmill is truly a good buy!

The Spirit XT275 is a great choice for individuals who want to get back into an exercise program but don’t want to spend a fortune on fitness equipment. The XT275 is a sturdy, dependable treadmill for walking and light jogging and will adequately meet the needs of the average user.

As with other lower-end models, however, the Spirit XT275 treadmill is not going to be suitable for everyone! People who have a long stride will be more comfortable on a model that has a longer running surface, for instance. Hard-core runners really need a treadmill with a more powerful motor and heavier frame to support the constant pounding and running speeds.
  • 2.75 HP continuous duty motor—Powerful enough to provide a smooth, quiet workout for walkers and light joggers.
  • Cooling fans—Located in the console, these fans create a nice, cool breeze for more comfortable exercise experiences.
  • Folds for convenience and easy storage—Folding treadmills are nice to have when space is limited.
  • 20” x 55” running surface—Adequate in length for the average user, but may be a little too short for taller athletes.
  • 6 automatic user programs and 2 custom programs—Perfect for adding variety to your workouts and to help you achieve your fitness goals.
  • Speakers in console with a jack for your MP3, CD, or radio—Must-have features that make it easy and convenient to listen to your favorite tunes as you burn calories and fat. Those workouts will seem to fly by!
  • Incline capacity up to 15% grade—Even though this treadmill is best suited for walking, those workouts can be revved up by engaging the incline feature. Walking at an incline provides a better cardio workout and burns calories more efficiently.
  • Handle-based speed and incline controls—Controls allow for easy adjustment of speed and incline levels, even when you are in motion.
  • Frame constructed of commercial grade steel—Heavy steel construction adds to the sturdiness and durability of the treadmill. Exercise sessions are smoother and more stable.
  • Heart-rate monitor—Monitor your heart rate with the contact heart rate sensors or the included Polar telemetry belt.

XT-475 Treadmill

  • 20” x 60” running surface— A more than adequate enough running surface to accommodate taller users and sprinters. Great for interval training!
  • 3.5 HP continuous duty motor—A good, strong motor that can handle runners and multiple users. This motor should run effortlessly at steep inclines and high speeds.
  • 2.75” rear roller—The larger than normal roller means that more of the treadbelt surface rolls over it and has to bend less. This reduces the wear and tear on the bearings, motor, and belt and can make for a smoother, quieter treadbelt.
  • Orthopedic belt—Although this is a nice feature in theory, you get minimal additional cushioning from it in reality. Don’t expect the belt to feel like running on sand.
  • 280 lbs. assembled weight—The heavy weight of commercial grade structural steel makes for a sturdy, stable machine.
  • 425 lbs. user capacity—For best results, a maximum user weight of 300 lbs. is likely more realistic.
  • Folding deck with “Soft-Drop” assist—Makes setup easy and helps prevent the platform from falling too quickly, thus, reducing the chances of potential damage or injuries.
